What is the difference between PMI and PMI-SD?
PMI is actually PMI Global and is the overarching organization on a worldwide level. Fundamentally PMI Global manages all initial membership accounts, project management standards and other related documentation, and all PMI certifications. PMI-SD is the local organization representing PMI in San Diego. Our basic focus is the professional development and networking of those associated with project management. Be sure to review the About PMI-SD page to learn more about our chapter. Although PMI-SD is a part of PMI Global, the PMI-SD Chapter is wholly a separate organization that interfaces with PMI Global.

What are PDUs and how do I claim them?
PDU stands for Professional Development Units. They are basically continuing education hours that credentialed professionals are required to maintain in order to further their professional development. Click here to review the PDU claiming process for the various PMI credentials. Click here for the portal to submitting PDUs.
